Valsoyo

Valsoyo is an aparthotel in Upie, set near the village in the Drôme region and a practical base for time on the road through southeastern France. The property sits on 7 hectares with a 3500 m2 lake, and the restored stone building gives the stay a grounded, quietly distinctive feel. Valence is 11 miles away, keeping the location connected while remaining centered on the calmer pace of Upie. Each themed apartment brings a different country into the design, with references that include Japan and Kenya, so the space feels considered from the moment you step inside. The setting reads as residential and relaxed, with room to settle in rather than simply pass through. Inside, the apartments include free Wi-Fi and a kitchenette with a dishwasher, which makes longer stays feel easy to manage. Some units also offer a balcony or terrace, adding a private place to take in the grounds or unwind after the day. The layout suits travelers who want the comfort of an apartment stay with the convenience of hotel-style services where available, especially when you are planning meals, working remotely, or keeping a flexible schedule. Outside, the property’s shared spaces shape the rhythm of the stay. You can spend time by the outdoor pool, in the garden, or on the terrace, or make use of the bicycle rental and table tennis facilities for something more active between outings. Free on-site parking is available, which is useful if you are exploring the area by car, and the overall pace stays low-key and easy to navigate. Around Upie, the stay feels practical and self-contained, with enough space to slow down before heading back out toward the roads and towns of the region. It is the kind of place that stays with you for its setting, its room to breathe, and the way the apartment format makes the days feel unhurried.
